Raised in a nowhere
town somewhere on Earth, Veronica excelled in school, but quickly grew
bored with it and life in the suburbs. After a severe fight with
her parents the day she dropped out of school, she packed her bags and
ran off to New York to be a hot dog vender until she could get a good job.
While selling hot
dogs, she met up with a shrink named Jim Bob Gutwrench. He took her
in and trained her to be a shrink, even going so far as to get her into
a school for shrinks. She was certified in the next year and counseled
people while living with Jim Bob, who'd taken on a father like role.
One day, while in a session, she got a call from the police saying that
Jim Bob was hit by a semi and died on contact. Instead of dealing
with his death and moving on, Veronica left that day and joined Star Fleet.
She was transferred many times for "unusual" behavior and has now taken
up residence on the USS Potemkin.

For unknown reasons,
she developed a fear of scissors while positioned on one of the ships.
She likes to be around people and listen to them talk, but rarely speaks
more than a few words outside of a session. She also enjoys reading
and star-gazing. She refuses to talk about any of her past unless
ordered to or with a close friend [which is never a problem, because of
her strange antics, people are hesitant to befriend her]. She was
born
telekinetic and after many years of objects
flying around the room without ever being touched, she got it under control.
Personality:
Veronica is quiet and reserved when
she first meets people, appearing to be somewhat normal until she adjusts
to her new surroundings.
