Background:
Cora Lee was born
to Devon and Lee Majors in the human colony of Jasper VII a high gravity
planet. Cora Lee has a brother, Donavan, who is in his senior year of high
school and sister, Tracy, who is about to enter college. Her parents, Devon
and Lee, are farmers with a small family inheritance. They worked hard
to keep the family unit close, until Lee developed a gambling habit. He
enjoyed all forms of gambling, and wasn't long before he had spent his
families life savings and had his family in debt with high stake loans.
Lee Majors disappeared leaving his family to pay for the debts he had incurred.
For Cora Lee, it meant that her father's debts would not enable her to
go to the Academy. It meant that she would have to be leave her dreams
behind and help her mother on the farm and do other odd jobs to help pay
for the loans. It devastated Cora Lee to have to give up her dreams of
going to the academy especially when she had passed the Academy entrance
exam with perfect scores.
However, a mysterious
transmission was sent to Cora Lee encouraging her to enter the academy
and that all would be taken care of. Without a single thought, Cora Lee
submitted her application and was accepted. Cora Lee graduated with top
honors in the academy and awaited her first posting from Starfleet. As
luck would have it, Cora Lee's family's past was brought up to haunt her
when she was approached by a distinguished looking gentleman who offered
more than what StarFleet was going to give. Cora Lee accepted the offer.
Although a closely
guarded secret that Cora Lee has kept to herself, Admiral William Horatio
Janus of Starfleet Intelligence and a member of the notorious criminal
organization, Orion Syndicate, believed Cora Lee's loyalty to the organization
was in question. So he sent her into Breen territory to investigate the
political situation of the Breen Directorate. She wasn't expected to return
from the mission, but fate said other wise.
Upon her return to Federation space,
she was to return to the Aldrin. Her orders were changed before reaching
the Aldrin and was reassigned to the USS Potemkin under Captain Avia Winter.
Special Skills/Attributes:
Cora Lee is an exceptional fighter pilot. She can fly just about anything if given the chance. She is a skilled gymnast and an expert in most fields of martial arts. Cora Lee is also an expert in *computer programming, *computer encryption of all kinds including decoding and coding, she has expertise both in and out of the field in engineering, security/tactical, and medical. She is fluent in the languages of Dominese, Andorian, Centaruans, and Breen. She is a fast learner and can understand most languages without speaking it. She can also read body language of certain races. She has a very observant eye and can blend into most cultures through disguise. Cora Lee's strength is also greater than most humans since she was born on a high-gravity world.
Psychological/Medical:
Cora Lee is in perfect
physical condition of a person with her height and weight. However, she
is completely psi-null due to an accident she had in the academy. She cannot
be mind-probed, telepathically scanned, or otherwise. Anyone trying to
read her will feel a sense of nothingness or void as if she weren't there.
She also has a high recovery rate both physically and psychologically.
Cora Lee is a competent person with hidden anger towards her father who
had abandoned the family for high stakes gambling and debt. She can also
recall things that most people wouldn't notice and retain the information
she sees and hears.
On stardate 200107.26,
Cora Lee was diagnosed with having a rare disease known as Lilan Osmakis
for which there is no known cure. The disease is derived from a certain
chemical that is used in certain truth serums used for intense interrogations.
Cora Lee is still fit for duty, but under medical treatment to take a drug
Afren that was developed on Cardassia. The drug is meant to slow the process
of the disease, however the common side effects of Afren is lightheadedness
and in some cases, hallucinations She will need to report to sickbay for
medical treatment at a certain time each night. Failure to do so, could
result in her position and most importantly her life.
