"Without a Trace"
After the USS Redfire reported that an entire colony located in the Rouge-63 Nebula had disappeared, leaving behind only debris, but no organic remnants, the USS Potemkin was assigned to the case. On further investigation, every vessel that the colony had registered with Starfleet had been accounted for in the rubble. The question remained, however, as to what happened to the people, the organic material, and why the colony was in such bad shape.
The Potemkin found the colony just as the report said, and soon found itself overwhelmed with radiation from an unknown cause. A small rift opened, and the closed, and the levels dipped back down to normal.Then, suddenly, levels rose dramatically and the rift opened again. This time, after the radiation dropped, the rift stayed open, and increased in size. The Potemkin sent a probe through and, after detecting a large object through the rift, is trying to decide what to do.
